The 300 page fully illustrated book documents how a small group transformed a derelict meat store into one of the most celebrated nightclubs in dance music history.

Storied London club Fabric is the subject of a forthcoming illustrated history published by UK imprint White Rabbit.

“Fabric: The Fully Illustrated History of the Famous London Club” tells the story of “a small group of enthusiasts” who transformed a derelict meat store into one of the most legendary nightclubs in dance music. Due for publication in December, the book features:

stories about the club’s birth, struggles and successes, as well as rare photography and iconic artwork, and an oral history by Joe Muggs featuring over one hundred testimonies from the legendary DJs associated with fabric, this is a celebration of the colossal impact fabric has had on club culture over the last quarter of a century. Above all, it’s a story about the misfits and visionaries who made it happen, the curators and resident DJs who have kept it true to its roots, and the experiences of clubbers on the dancefloor.

Three separate editions of the 300 page book are planned:

1. The standard hardback edition in a limited one-off print run of 4,000 copies for £50
2. The “record store edition” in a print run of 100 for £99
3. The “White Rabbit deluxe edition” in a print run of 500 for £349.

The record store edition includes a copy of Fabric 001 mix CD by Craig Richards. The goodies attached to the “deluxe” edition includes “an exclusive LP, a 25th anniversary poster print, four reproduction flyers, an exclusive pin badge and slipmat” and more.

Fabric will be released starting with the standard hardback edition on December 3, with the record store and deluxe editions to follow on December 17 2024. You can order direct from White Rabbit here.
