It will feature mixes from the likes of Nia Archives, FKA twigs and Honey Dijon, joining the Apple Music Radio line-up along with two other new stations

Apple Music has grown its radio programming with the launch of three new stations, including the dance and electronic music-focused Apple Music Club.

It will feature round-the-clock mixes from artists around the world, with new mixes from the likes of Honey Dijon, Nia Archives, FKA twigs, Jamie xx currently confirmed, alongside sets from a selection of Apple Music curators. These include Circoloco, fabric, The Warehouse Project, Tomorrowland and more.

Commenting on the news, Honey Dijon said: “I come from the south side of Chicago and I never imagined that house music would become a global phenomenon.

“And for me to be able to take my culture and the club culture that I grew up in and share that with the world is something that I’ve never thought was possible and I’m just so honoured that I’m a vessel of this community and this music that has changed so many lives and has created space and music to be recognized just as much as hip hop and jazz and soul and gospel,” she continued. “So it’s an honour to be able to present house music to a global audience on Apple Music Radio.”

Tim Sweeney and NAINA will provide context around each mix, which will be available to listen to at any time via Apple Music’s DJ Mixes.

“To be involved in a brand new station which spotlights all the incredible curators, festivals, club nights, labels around the globe is hugely exciting because the catalogue is forever growing,” says NAINA

“Dance and electronic music have been at the core of my life, and I’m excited to help listeners dive into the energy, history, and creativity of club culture around the world,” said Tim Sweeney.

The news comes as part of an expansion for Apple Music Radio, with the announcement of two more new stations.

Apple Music Chill is described as “an escape, a refuge, a sanctuary in sound” where the likes of Brian Eno and Stephan Moccio will provide more ambient and downtempo sounds.

“All my listening life I’ve been drawn to the slower, quieter, more mysterious end of the musical spectrum,” said Eno. “My radio show gives me the chance to share with others some of the things I’ve found there.”

Apple Música Uno is a new Latin-dedicated station, spanning sounds such as Música Mexicana, reggaetón, cumbia amd Latin pop, with Becky G as the official launch host.

“Growing up, I used to watch and listen to music programs that inspired me so much, and I was always in awe of the artists before me. Now, years later, I can’t believe I get to have my own show and hopefully inspire others in the same way,” said Becky G.

All three join existing stations Apple Music 1Apple Music Hits and Apple Music Country.

“Apple Music Radio is the beating heart of our service, representing the intersection of exceptional human voices and curation with cutting-edge technology that shapes and influences culture,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Music, Sports, and Beats. “We put a lot of time and care into making sure these new radio stations are really bespoke, highly curated, and hosted by some of the world’s best music commentators with unique programming that we know our listeners will love.”

Zane Lowe, Apple Music’s global creative director and lead anchor for Apple Music 1 said: “Music is crucial to our health and happiness, and what Apple Music Radio brings is a sense that your music is always there for you, always on, and waiting for you to just tap in.

“In a world of AI and algorithms, Apple Music Radio is live. It’s real people, it’s a shared event, and I’m so excited to be broadening that experience to listeners worldwide with three new stations,” he added.
