NYC’s Tedd Patterson and The Illustrious Blacks join forces for a celestial house heater on SoSure Music
Tedd Patterson and The Illustrious Blacks are releasing a new collaborative single, ‘Let The Music Set You Free’, later this week. Have an exclusive first listen below.
With the grooves still reverberating from his March single, ‘Piece of Me’, featuring Inaya Day, NYC luminary Tedd Patterson has joined forces with rising duo The Illustrious Blacks for a celestial house heater.
Landing this Friday (26th July) via London house label SoSure Music, the collaborative cut pairs the insatiable energy and feel-good affirmations of New York’s self-proclaimed afro-electro-disco-space-punks, with a trademark Tedd Patterson driving 4/4 beat. The result is a release bursting with vintage house vitality and best enjoyed at full volume: “Dance away every doubt, turn up and tune out”.
Speaking to DJ Mag about the link-up, Tedd Patterson shared: “Working closely with the Illustrious Blacks on this project was a gas! I’m now a bigger fan of their electricity than I was before we came together to collaborate.”
Today (24th July), Patterson announced his first London appearance in many years with support from Faith’s Terry Farley, Ella Knight, Johnny Reckless and more. The House Of Yes resident will take over the main room at Omeara on Saturday 12th October, with tickets available here.
‘Let The Music Set You Free’ is out 26th July via SoSure Music. Have an exclusive first listen below.
