Tiffiney Henry aka Phoenix Fire was born in Stamford, CT but raised in Bridgeport, CT. Her vocal range is versatile and powerful! Phoenix started singing professionally doing background vocals for various artists such as Freddie Jackson and Jill Scott. Recently, she was the opening act for Marsha Ambrosius in New Haven, CT. Phoenix Fire’s first single, My Father, on Diamond Life Entertainment was produced by DJ Juan Coon and is currently available on all digital download platforms. Her second single, Come Together will be released on September 20, 2019.
Q. Hey Phoenix it truly is a pleasure. your new hit “Father” is out how are you feeling about it?
A. Thank you for having me! I’m beyond excited and overjoyed!
Q. So where are you from?
A. I was born in Stamford, CT but raised in Bridgeport.
Q. When did you first start singing?
A: According to my Mother, I was singing before talking. I was about 6/7 when I knew music would be a huge part of my life.
Q. What drew you to the music industry?
A. That good feeling in my soul when I hear music! I want to make people feel good thru my voice.
Q. Who were you inspired by?
A. First and foremost my mother. Then thru her, I was introduced and influenced by The melodic voices of Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald and Patti LaBelle just to name a few.
Q. Please explain your creative process to your fans?
A. I listen to all the things around me. Water dripping, cars whizzing by, nature and other different sounds which allow my mind to take a musical journey. That is how my creative process starts and from there it just skyrockets!
Q. If you could dabble in another genre of music, what would it be?
A. Country music!
Q. Do you have any future collaborations coming up or anyone you’d like to work with?
A. I do have some collaborations in the works. I would love to work with Tiffany T’Zelle, Dawn Tallman, Ebony, Michael Dunham just to name a few!
Q. So I ask every artist on the scene about staying power. Where do you see yourself in the future?
A. I feel that as long as I continue to sing songs that touch your heart, mind, and soul then I am in it for the long haul.
