Back in Millennium Park for the 4th year running.

November 6th,2018

The amazing people at the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events have announced their 2019 calendar, and there are a lot of reasons to get excited about: house music and electronic music are once again well-represented.

To the point. the Chicago House Music Festival will return for its fourth year on Memorial Day Weekend. The line-up was not announced and is likely far from settled, but we’ll be back in Millennium Park for the holiday this year!

SummerDance will also return from June 27 to August 24, 2019. The events feature a wide variety of music and dance lessons in what the City of Chicago calls “the largest outdoor social dancing series in the United States.”

Another interesting program is Bronzeville Echos: Faces and Places of Chicago’s African American Music at the Chicago Cultural Center. The exhibition will be ongoing, and will culminate in “the creation of a pop-up performance venue that will include ephemera and artworks that document Chicago’s house and hip-hop legacies.”
