Wax Poetics has launched a new “travel” series of videos and they wisely started off in Chicago.

Soul City features Ronnie Reese exploring the music of the South Side of Chicago. After visiting with the son and biographer of Curtis Mayfield, Reese drops into the studio with Chicago house legend Ron Trent. Also stick around for the Crate Diggers Record Fair and an animated chat about “the joys of record digging” with Ron and another Chicago house icon, Zernell Gillie.
